London to Glastonbury

  • Quickest but most expensive. The tains from Paddington – London to Castle Cary approximately 1½ hours plus taxi (best pre booked) about 25 minutes.
  • Trains from Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads. Walk to main road and the bus stop is usually on the right, bus 376 to Glastonbury Town Hall. It is recommended a taxi ,about 5 minutes , (taxi rank opposite) from the Town Hall to Tordown as it is all up hill and with luggage can take some time, 20 minutes walk. If you prefer to walk try getting off the bus at the top of the High Street just after the bus turns right in Glastonbury, this is before the Town Hall; alternatively if it is day time travel you could try the Tor Bus which runs from the carpark next to the Town Hall.
  • Coach from Victoria Coach Station London leaves about 17.30 arrives about 22.30 Glastonbury. Return journey leaves Glastonbury 6.45 in the morning when taxis are expensive and in short supply . This is a very cheap way of travel but you lose over one day of your stay .
  • Coach from Victoria Coach Station to Bristol Bus Station then 376 bus as above to Glastonbury ,a much more frequent service than above

Heathrow to Glastonbury

Bus from Heathrow to Bristol Bus Station then 376 Bus again as above

Bus to Reading, train to Bristol or Castle Cary then as above.

Bristol Airport

Take the Airport Flyer to Temple Meads station or the bus station then bus 376 to Glastonbury as above.

A taxi from the Airport to Tordown. This is more expensive but a lot quicker. If there are 2 people this is the better option.

From the South of England to Glastonbury

If you can reach Yeovil station the 376 bus runs from Yeovil to Glastonbury.

Alternatively a train to Castle Cary

From North England

There is a train from Edinburgh/York/Birmingham to Bristol Temple Meads.
